As a significant moment in the address, Mayor Levine Cava introduced and recognized Magalys Vazquez and her community as one of the first to benefit from the Public Housing & Community Development (PHCD) housing assistance program. This initiative provided over $200,000 in special assessment assistance to residents of the condominium, enabling eligible applicants to repay the assistance over 40 years with no interest.
This recognition underscores the county's commitment to supporting residents and enhancing housing affordability through innovative community development programs.
